Welcoming Eleven New Members to the Partner Museums Network
We are delighted to welcome eleven new members to the Partner Museums Network of TheMuseumsLab.
The network brings together museums and cultural institutions committed to shared learning, professional exchange, and long-term collaboration across Africa and Europe. With each new member, the network grows not only in number, but in perspectives, expertise, and regional contexts.
This year, we are pleased to introduce eleven institutions that join the Network with diverse experiences and areas of focus. From national museums and memorial sites to university collections, research centres, and community-based initiatives, the new partners reflect the wide spectrum of museum and heritage work represented within TheMuseumsLab:
- Africa Royal Heritage Museum | Uganda
- CRDS - Centre de Recherches et de Documentation du Sénégal | Senegal
- Global Heritage Lab - University of Bonn | Germany
- Futurium Berlin | Germany
- Juffureh Village Heritage Museum | Gambia
- Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park | Ghana
- Limbo Museum | Ghana
- National Museum of Natural History | Luxembourg
- Natural History Museum Basel | Switzerland
- Nkyimkyim Museum, Ancestor Project | Ghana
- Yemisi Shyllon Museum of Art (YSMA), Pan-Atlantic University | Nigeria
The network now holds 66 members across 8 African and 11 European countries.

Each institution contributes its own history, priorities, approaches. Through the network, partner museums engage in joint projects, host Fellows for one-week Residencies, and contribute their institutional expertise to TheMuseumsLab.
An overview of all members can be found here on our website.
