The museum is constructed in traditional architectural fashion and furnished with rare and authentic tangible artifacts such as masks and masquerades, religious and ceremonial artifacts, paintings, and initiation artifacts from all the ethnic groups in The Gambia, including intangible heritage such as songs, stories, histories, folktales and performances.
