Our work is centered on making art accessible and functional for education, intellectual engagement and social impact. With a collection spanning traditional, modern, and contemporary Nigerian art, YSMA operates as a "teaching museum," integrating art into the university curriculum, providing outreach to surrounding under served communities and offering curated learning and development experiences to diverse groups. We are focused on the "internal restitution" of knowledge—reconnecting Nigerian audiences with their heritage through exhibitions that are culturally and socially relevant. We are also committed to digital archiving and online engagement, ensuring our collection is accessible to global researchers and art enthusiasts through our Google Art and Culture Partner page.
