Selected Project Details for the Second Round | CollabFund
Building on the first cohort of collaborations, the second round of projects will continue to explore critical questions of restitution, community engagement, memory and ethical museum practice, fostering transcontinental partnerships between Africa and Europe.
The projects selected for the second funding round are:
- Beyond the Objects: The Battlefield Landscapes of 'While We Wait'
- Ensuring Proper Interpretation of Gule Wamkulu Masks in European Museums
- Namibia and Germany: New Ethics of Cooperation
- Reclaiming Ritual Knowledge Through Performance: Perspectives from Africa and the Diaspora
Through artistic research, community-centred collaboration and critical engagement with collections and cultural heritage, these projects contribute to the ongoing conversation about new approaches to international museum cooperation and knowledge exchange.
Over the coming months, the project teams will develop exhibitions, performances, workshops, research activities and public programmes in collaboration with museums, artists, researchers and community partners across different regions.
