CollabFund | Projects Selected for the Second Round
Youn-Zuh Rim (Team)We are delighted to announce that a second group of projects has been selected for TheMuseumsLab CollabFund 2026. Following a detailed evaluation process, the jury determined an additional group of proposals that demonstrated conceptual strength, relevance, and a strong commitment to transcontinental collaboration.
Congratulations to all the selected teams on their exceptional proposals.
Once again, the newly selected projects cover a variety of themes and geographical contexts. They critically engage with questions of restitution and ethical cooperation, explore new approaches to interpreting ritual and spiritual heritage, foreground lived experiences and local agency in museum narratives and address community-centred heritage work in both African and European contexts. Several projects focus on re-examining colonial histories and battlefield landscapes, strengthening long-term institutional partnerships and developing sustainable models for culturally sensitive interpretation.
These projects build upon shared research, artistic exchange, community dialogue, and public engagement activities, such as workshops, residencies, performances, exhibitions, digital outputs and publications.
Meanwhile, the first round of projects selected in 2025 began their activities at the start of this year. We look forward to accompanying their development and sharing insights into their progress, milestones and public engagements over the coming months.
Therefore, we warmly invite everyone to watch this space and follow us on social media. In the weeks ahead, we will also provide further information about the newly selected project ideas and the teams involved, as well as updates on their evolving collaborations.
The initiative TheMuseumsLab CollabFund is funded by the Kulturstiftung des Bundes (German Federal Cultural Foundation).
