Bio
I am a Senegalese museum curator specializing in collections documentation, digitization, and digital heritage systems. Since 2019, I have worked at the Centre de Recherche et de Documentation du Sénégal (CRDS), Université Gaston Berger, in Saint-Louis, where I focus on museum collections management, documentation practices, and context-sensitive digital tools for African heritage institutions.
My work explores how museum documentation shapes authority, memory, and the circulation of knowledge around collections. I hold a Master’s degree in Heritage Studies and developed SYDOCOM, a digital collections documentation system designed from African museum contexts. My current interests include situated documentation, documentary sovereignty, provenance research, photographic archives, cultural cooperation, and community-based knowledge.
