Zitadelle Spandau

Spandau Citadel is considered one of best preserved Renaissance fortresses in Europe. Until 1945 it was always used for military purposes, during the NS era as a laboratory complex for chemical weapons. Today, the citadel is a cultural and historical island with artist studios, event locations and eight exhibition buildings where archaeology, history and contemporary art can be seen.

The museum „Unveiled. Berlin and it’s Monuments“ is particularly special with the toppled monuments and "toxic" sculptures such as "Hitler's Horses", Lenin's head and a beheaded, racist statue.
