The National Museums of World Culture (NMWC) consists of four museums across two cities, Stockholm and Gothenburg:
- The Museum of Ethnography
- The Museum of Mediterranean and Near Eastern Antiquities
- The Museum of Far Eastern Antiquities (all three in Stockholm)
- The Museum of World Culture (in Gothenburg).
The NMWC manages a global collection covering all continents and thousands of years. Our vision aims to achieve “a bigger, more humane and inclusive world”. By engaging with the world from different perspectives, we give people the opportunity to challenge patterns of thought, values, and behaviours. The NMWC can help develop a deeper understanding of human existence: who we are, where we come from, and what world we want to create together.
