The Uganda National Museum, started as an Ethnographic Museum in 1908 and transformed in the mid 1950's to a public Museum we see today. In 1960's the Uganda Museum extended its gallery to include Archaeology, Natural History and Palaeontology. It focusses on collections care, and promoting Uganda’s History, Natural and cultural heritage through research, documentation and exhibitions.
