The organisation is dedicated to preserving the art of traditional manuscript production and rekindling the artistic talents and expertise of icon painting. The Hamere Berhan Institute is tirelessly working to replicate Ethiopian manuscripts that were plundered by Europeans and are currently housed in libraries and museums throughout Europe and America.
