Call for Applications 2026 closed

The Call for Applications for TheMuseumsLab 2026 Fellowship is now closed

Almost 300 museum professionals from 26 African and 17 European countries have applied for TheMuseumsLab 2026 fellowship!

Focussing on the overarching theme ‘Building Futures from Memory: Museums and Memorial Sites as Agents’, the programme will kick off in May with a digital module, continuing on-site in Berlin and Kigali.

Thank you to all applicants for your time, effort, and interest. Your submissions will now be carefully reviewed by the official Selection Committee, which consists of experts from both continents. The evaluation will focus on professional competencies and experiences, commitment to the programme, and personal skills. After the review, the selected applicants will be notified by beginning of March 2026.
