Mahad Mohamed is a curator and interdisciplinary artist based in Mogadishu. His practice explores the relationship between architecture, memory, and visual culture, with a particular focus on Somali cities and post-conflict urban landscapes. Trained in civil engineering, he works across photography, research, and exhibition-making to document and reinterpret the built environment. Since 2020, he has worked with the Somali Arts Foundation, contributing to exhibitions and cultural initiatives locally and internationally. His projects have been presented in Mogadishu, Nairobi, and Italy, and he is currently developing a publication focused on Somali art and architecture.
