Nkyinkyim Museum is Ghana's largest outdoor museum, located in the farmlands of Nuhalenya-Ada, about 90 km outside Accra. Nkyinkyim Museum seamlessly combines African art, history, and education, preserving tangible and intangible cultural heritage through drumming, dance, traditional rites, festivals, performances, and food. Collections range from large-scale monuments and murals to thousands of figurative sculptures, symbols, and stories. New artwork is produced on-site daily by our Osramba Studios team. The principles of Restorative and Transformative Justice guide our approach to dialogue, connection, and healing. The museum space is not a tourist attraction but an ecosystem designed to nurture and sustain life. Nkyinkyim Museum offers griot-led tours, art workshops, pilgrimages, artist and research residencies, nightlife, and overnight stays for individuals and groups.

Nkyinkyim Museum is part of the Ancestor Project, Ghana. Its mission is to use art and education to foster healing for people of African descent from the legacies of colonialism and enslavement.
