CollabFund Networking Forum

The CollabFund turns the ideas and energy developed through TheMuseumsLab Fellowship into visible, accessible outcomes with wider impact. With funding ranging from €5,000 to €30,000 per project, the CollabFund encourages innovative, sustainable, and transcontinental collaborations between museum leaders from Africa and Europe. The initiative TheMuseumsLab CollabFund is funded by the Kulturstiftung des Bundes (German Federal Cultural Foundation).

The CollabFund Networking Forum is the next step in building on the momentum of TheMuseumsLab Fellowship, offering Alumni and Partner Museums the opportunity to turn their ideas into visible, accessible projects with lasting impact: from exhibitions and research to community-based initiatives.

As a platform for exchange and visibility, the Forum brings together museum professionals from Africa and Europe to present seven selected projects that demonstrate innovative, sustainable, and transcontinental collaboration. Through presentations, discussions, and public dialogue, the event showcases how museums can advance cultural exchange across continents, strengthen professional networks, and highlight the wider significance of transnational cooperation.

Open to the public with prior registration, the Forum invites audiences to engage directly with project teams and explore how bold ideas are shaping the future of museums.
